Using FIND SHIP
FIND SHIP isusedinchartmodetore-drawthechartwiththevesselatthecenter
andthe cursorhomedontothevessel.
Whenyoupress FIND SHIP thefollowingoccur:
• Thechart is re-drawnwith thevessel’s positionin the center.
• Thecursor ishomed ontothe vessel position andmoveswith it.
• Whenthe vessel moves neartheedgeof the chart window, the chartis
redrawnto placethevesselandcursorat the centeragain.
• Thestatus barindicatesvesselposition,speedandcourseover ground.
➤ Toreleasethecursorfrom homed modepress thetrackpadtomovethecursor
awayfromthe vessel’s current position.The statusbar shows thecursor
position,rangeand bearing.
Synchronize the Radar and Chart
Ifyou have a combined radar/chartplotterdisplay, withchart and radar
windowson and you have selectedRadar/ChartSynch in Chart Set Up
(Section 7.7,ChartSetUpParameters),FIND SHIP canbeusedtosynchronize
theradar and chartimages.When you pressFIND SHIP the followingoccur:
• Thechartisredrawnsothatitscenterpositionmatchesthatoftheradardis-
play.
