Displayed SeaTalk Waypoints
Inanintegrated system, when a routeis madecurrenton any SeaTalk
equipmentitissenttoallSeaTalkinstruments,includingthischartplotter;this
routewilloverrideany othercurrentroute. WhenGOTO waypointor GOTO
cursorisinoperationit isconsidereda route.
Thecurrentroutecan be edited on any instrumentwith routeeditcapability.
Note:Transferredwaypointsarenotautomaticallysavedby thechartplotter,
howeveryoucansavetheroutelocally,thusaddingthewaypointstothelocal
waypointlist.
Managing Database Lists
Thereare severalmethods of maintainingdatabaselists.The method you
choosewilldependon the linksavailable(SeaTalk, NMEAor
hsb
2
),and
whetheryou want totransferindividualwaypoints orthe completewaypoint
androute list:
• YoucansavethecompleteWaypoint and RouteLists toa user cartridgein
the chart card slot.
• Youcanloadnew WaypointandRouteListsfroma user cartridgein the
chartcardslot.
• Ifwaypointsaretransmitted by other equipmentonSeaTalkor NMEA,
youcan receivethemon the chartplotter.
When RECEIVE WPTS FROM ST/NMEA is selected,any waypointssenton
SeaTalkorNMEA aretransferredand appended,one-by-one,tothe way-
pointlist;routes senton NMEA are appendedto the routelist.
Youcanusethisfunctiontoadd waypoints froma PCconnected via
NMEA.
• Youcansendthewaypoint androutelists from thechartplotterto other
instruments via NMEA using the SEND WPT LIST function.
Sendingthe waypointlistdoes not affect current routes.
TheNMEAlinkcouldbetoaPC.
• Youcantransferthewaypointand routelistsfrom one chartplotter to
anotheracrossan
hsb
2
linkusingSEND WPT LIST ON HSB and RECIEIVE WPTS
FROM HSB.
CAUTION:
ThefunctionsLOAD USER CARD, SEND WPT LIST ON HSB andRECIEIVE WPTS
FROM HSB replacetheexistingwaypointandroutelistswiththe
transferredlists.
