Alarmsareraisedbytheautopilotsystemtoalertyoutomechanicalandelectricalconditionsrequiringyourattention.
TheEvolutioncomponentstransmitalarmalertsontheSeaT alk

networkfordisplayonautopilotcontrolheadsandmultifunction
displays,alongwithanaudiblealert.TheEvolutioncomponentsstopraisinganalarmwhenthealarmconditionceasesorthe
alarmisacknowledgedontheautopilotcontrolheadormultifunctiondisplay.Ifthealarmissafety-criticalitwillberaisedagain
afteratimeddelay.
Unlessotherwisestatedinthetablebelow,youshouldrespondtoalarmsbyselectingOKorAcknowledgeonyourautopilot
controlheadormultifunctiondisplay.

end-stopsofthevessel’sruddersystem.

ACU.
•Checkallconnectionstodriveunit.
•Checkthatthedriveunitoperatesandisnot
stalled.
•Checksteeringsystemissecure.
NORUDDERREFERENCENorudderreferenceunitisdetected,ortherudder
referenceunithasturnedoutsideitsoperational
range(50degrees).
Ifarudderreferenceunitisinstalled,checkthe
wiring.Inspecttheunitforpossibledamage.
STALLDETECTEDMotorspeeddroppedtoolowforgivencourse
changeormotorstalling.Thiscanbecausedbya
faultydriveunitorsteeringfault.Alternatively,the
steeringhard-overtimemaybetooslow.
•Checkthatthedriveunitoperatesandisnot
stalled.
•Checkthesteeringhard-overtime.
CLUTCHOVERLOADTheclutchforthedrivesystemisdemandinga
greaterpoweroutputthanissupportedbythe
clutchpoweroutputoftheEvolutioncomponents.
Refertotheclutchpoweroutputratingsprovided
intheInstallationinstructionsfortherelevant
Evolutioncomponents,andensuretheclutchfor
thedriveunitdoesnotexceedthispoweroutput.
CURRENTOVERLOADSeriousdrivefailure;thedriveisdemandingtoo
muchelectricalcurrentduetoshort-circuitor
jamming.Causedbyafaultydriveunitormotor,
orwiringshort-circuit.Alternatively,afaultinthe
steeringsystemmaybecausingthedriveunitto
lock-up.
Checkthedriveunit.
ROUTECOMPLETEYourvesselhasarrivedattheendofthecurrent
route.
